Scales for faculty and the corresponding gross salary drawn at the beginning and at the end of the scale (inclusive of all perquisites and allowances) are approximately as follows:
- Professor (18,400-500-22,400-600-29,000-800-37,000)
- Associate Professor (16,400-450-20,000-500-23,000-700-30,000)
- Assistant Professor (12,000-420-18,300-475-23,050)
- Senior Lecturer (10,000-325-15,200-375-18,950)
In addition 10% of the basic salary is added to the gross salary as Incentive for positions at IMT Nagpur. Starting salary and position are dependent on qualification, research contribution, academic & professional achievements and experience. In addition to salary, attractive Incentive scheme is available for Research, Consulting and MDPs. Applicants from academia should have Ph.D. from reputed Indian / Foreign Institutes / Universities. The Ph.D. requirement can be relaxed for candidates with relevant work experience in senior positions in industry.
